Dr. Joann Kochikaran is a proud graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry, Class of 2005. She was accepted into dental school directly after high school through UIC’s prestigious Guaranteed Professional Program, completing an accelerated two-year undergraduate track before earning her DDS. Originally from Morton Grove, Dr. Kochikaran enjoys practicing in nearby Skokie, close to home and her alma mater, Niles West High School.
Balancing her roles as a dentist, wife, and mother, Dr. Kochikaran values both professional excellence and family life. When she's not caring for patients, you’ll find her cooking, staying active, or checking off adventures from her travel bucket list including elephant rides in Bali, surfing in Costa Rica, and cliff diving in Maui.

- Why did you decide on joining the dental field? Love for helping people in discomfort- I am a caretaker at heart!
- Hobbies and Interests: Addicted to exercising- if I don't then I mentally hate myself! Lol- it's my stress reliever!
- What is something people don't know about you? I want to volunteer my time at an orphanage in India one day…
